Rachel Capil is an entrepreneur and inspirational speaker who has shared her message of entrepreneurship and self-determination with hundreds of young people throughout the San Francisco Bay Area since 2009.
As an annual guest speaker for the Soroptimists International-presented “She’s All That” Conference, Rachel has spoken to young girls about the feasibility of pursuing your dreams, and opened their minds to the possibility that passions can be turned into livelihoods through hard work, persistence, and planning. As a professional photographer who has traveled the globe, Rachel knows firsthand what it takes to turn a dream into a dream job, and shares her strategies with her audience in an accessible, engaging way.
Orphaned at the end of her Senior Year in High School, Rachel faced one of the toughest challenges a young girl can face, and overcame the loss of her parents to triumph as a collegiate swimmer at the University of California, Santa Barbara. Her understanding of the many issues teenagers face at this crucial time in their lives, and the important role parents play in supporting and guiding them, gives her a unique and complementary perspective.
Rachel uses laughter, her natural connection with audiences, and her passion for helping others to showcase practical life lessons in a fun and educational way, and it is a rare gift that you will want any young adult in your life to experience.
I have never seen a speaker more young adults need to hear from than Rachel Capil. With her “Passion, Your Life In Focus” speech, she opens their minds to the possibility that, with planning and persistence, they can create a livelihood built on their dreams. ~ April C.
